The Transient Shaper
- [Narrator] The transient shaper is another powerful dynamics processor that features controls for shaping attack and release or sustain of different elements in your mix. It can be great especially on percussive materials to tighten drums or on certain instruments like keyboard or bass to add sustain and just overall make instruments sit better in a mix. Just like our compressor it can be run in single-band or multi-band mode and also like our compressor you can bypass or solo the individual bands. Let's take a look at how it works and in this example I have our drum kit pulled up but before we get started I have just our transient shaper module active right now but I'm going to play this drum kit with and without the exciter because I want you to hear how some of these modules really start to work in conjunction together at this point.
