Join Eric Wing for an in-depth discussion in this video Using the Quick Find tool, part of Navisworks Essential Training.
…Quick find is quicker than performing a fully…involved search, but it's slower in the fact that,…when you perform this type of search, you…have to toggle through the items one by one.…But, sometimes that's okay.…If we want to take a quick scroll through some of…the pipe fittings in the project, we can do that.…We need to know some of the information on the pipes, like if…it's a wye, if it's a 45, or what kind of fitting that is.…But that's okay.…All we need to know is a couple of…keywords and we can find the item pretty quickly.…So to follow along, open up your NavisworksEssential.nwd file.…
Go to the Home tab, then right here is the quick search button.…Inside of the quick search, I'm going to type in wye and hit Enter.…It's hard to say if we found anything, so…let's go to the Selection Tree, and see that…we found pipe fittings, pipe elbow, wye 45 degree…reducing, and I kind of just selected one random one.…We can select anyone we want, go ahead, right-click, and select it.…Now, with our view cube, let's click on the isometric view, and zoom in on it.…
