Join Eric Wing for an in-depth discussion in this video Hiding and turning on objects, part of Navisworks 2017 Essential Training.
…Because Navisworks is a building information…modeling application, we can control the…visibility of objects based on what they are, not what layer they're on.…That being said, we can control if we can even see the item or not.…The tricky part here is once we hide an object, how do we ever find it again?…Turning objects back on is actually harder than turning them off.…In this video we will look at hiding objects, then searching…for them in the Selection Tree to turn them back on.…We'll also look at unhiding every element in the model and…we'll also look at isolating the element that we have selected.…
To get started, open up NavisworksEssential.nwd and follow along.…I'm going to zoom into the roof area here.…I'm going to find an item that I perhaps don't want to see.…I'm going to go for this exhaust ventilator.…You can select it by either right-clicking on it, or…by clicking on your Pick button and selecting it that way.…Either way, I'm going to select the item.…I'm going to right-click on it, then I'm going to hide it.…
