Join Eric Wing for an in-depth discussion in this video Configuring appearances, part of Navisworks Essential Training.
…Here's how this timeliner thing works for construction sequencing.…First, we add a task.…Second, we tell Navisworks what the time frame…is that, that task is going to occur within.…Third, we tell Navisworks what kind of task that is.…It could be under construction, it could be demolition,…it could be temporary or even existing to remain.…Third, we grab a bunch of objects and assign it to that task.…Hit the play button and we're off.…The problem is we need to make sure those different tasks look…well different and change in color and transparency when the task is underway.…
That is where appearances come into play.…This video will show you how to find the…clash detective panel and how to configure those appearances.…So to get started let's open up Navisworks.…Let's click the open button, and let's browse where we keep in our files.…Go to the time liner folder, and make…sure our files of type is set to navisworks.nwd.…Grab the structural model, and click on Open.…So what we have is going to be existing to remain which is the earth.…
