- [Instructor] I want to talk about the extrude and the revolve tool located under the home tab. These are great tools to slap something out quickly you may define a profile and then extrude that profile out to get something to start with before you start manipulating control points on that surface. Same thing with the revolve, so for this you simply pick the profile and in this case it's a planar curve and because it's planar it infers the vector. If you want to actually pick the vector you can come in here and specify vector you may have a tooling direction you want to use, whatever that may be. And select OK to create your extrude. Let me go ahead and hide that. And for revolve go in, select the revolve tool once again specify the section and pick your vector. I'll use this X axis. In this case even though it's an open profile doing a full revolve will create a solid, it's able to close off those ends based off of that vector…
