Organize data with coding

- [Male Instructor] Well, it's time now to get into…the heart of using NVivo software for qualitative research.…And it's what we call, coding.…That means going through the source materials…you've already brought in under your data files,…going through them, and selecting content…such as topics, themes, maybe even issues or opinions…that you want to gather from individual documents…and place them all together in their own containers,…or nodes, even cases, as we created in the previous movie.…

Information can be gathered and placed in existing nodes,…or you can create nodes and cases on the fly.…That's what we're going to do in this movie…with our LH Customer Experience project 0203,…if you're catching up.…Let's start by going over to nodes.…We've only created the one node,…if you've been following along, called Rooms,…right now there's nothing in that container.…Same thing for the Return Customers case we created…in the previous movie.…So, we can start adding content to those containers,…or we can create new nodes on the fly,…
