Sometimes it's easier to pick up on themes and trends when you view your data in a graphical format. In this video, learn how to create a visual representation of your referenced data by creating a chart that displays coding at a node.
- [Instructor] NVivo's all about qualitative data research,…that is non-numerical data.…But there are times in your project…where you might want to retrieve some numerical data.…Perhaps you're interested in knowing…where the references are being coded to.…For example, if you wanted to go to your nodes…and take a look at some of the data here,…well we can see some numbers.…You can see the number of references…going to different nodes,…but we can also get a graphical representation…of that numerical data using charts,…as we're going to explore in this movie.…
We'll do it with our LH Customer Experience project…we've been building, 0303 if you're catching up.…And if we did want to get some information on nodes,…for example, where most of the references are coming from…and the number of references,…well we can get that in a chart.…With a node selected, go ahead and click one of these nodes.…So I'm going to go with rooms.…Next we'll go to the chart dropdown.…You can see at the top, Charts.…This is the Chart Wizard…and it's going to help you choose the right chart.…
