Using the Browse tab
- Once you have some data in a table, you can use phpMyAdmin to browse, sort, update and delete records. A quick way to browse a table's contents is to expand the database name in the panel on the left. So we're working with the up_and_running database. If I expand that, we can see that there is one table in there at the moment, cars. If I click cars, it opens the Browse tab and displays the first set of records in the table. I've added some extra records to show you how the Browse tab works. Don't worry if you still got only one record. I'll show you a quick way to add a set of test records in the next chapter. By default, the Browse tab displays the first 25 rows in the table. If you want to display more than 25, open this drop-down menu, and you can select one of the numbers from here, as many as 500 at a time.
