Finding and replacing text in a column

phpMyAdmin is capable of performing simple find and replace operations on text. In the version current at the time of recording this video, it works only on a single column. To use find and replace, you need to select a single table. So we're working with the up and running database. If we expand that panel on the left, then select the "cars" table, we need to go to the "search" tab, and then we've got this "find and replace" button. I'm not quite sure when this was added to phpMyAdmin, but it's not available in older versions. But, if you click "find and replace", it opens this very simple form with two fields: what you want to search for, what you want to replace it with. And then there is this option for the column. If we open that drop down menu, it lists only text related columns. On the left hand side here, is the option to use a regular expression.
