Creating a custom export for a single database
- We've seen how to export a single database using the quick export method but usually you'll want more control over how the dump file is created. So let's use the custom export method with the up_and_running database. I've got to select up_and_running from the panel on the left then the Export tab and the Custom radio button. This lists all of the tables in the database. They're all selected by default but I don't want this last one, makes_ods, that was created purely and simply as a demonstration so I'm going to deselect that and that just leaves us with cars and makes. If we scroll down a bit, the first option here, Rename exported databases, tables and columns, I showed you how to use that in the previous video so I'll skip that here. Save output to a file, that's normally what you want but there's also this option down here to view output as text. This allows you to see what the file will contain without actually saving it.
