From the course: Acoustic Guitar Lessons: 2 Scales, Walking Bass, Hammer-Ons, and Pull-Offs

Welcome

(light bluegrass music) - Here in course two we're going to continue looking into the fundamentals of flat picking with a little closer look at the fretting hand. We're going to look at building strength and fingerboard awareness through some scales. We're going to look at expanding what we can do with rhythm guitar through walking base as a result of that scale knowledge. Also look at some of the more expressive sounds that we can get using hammer ons, pull offs, and slides. Also sounding more efficient as a result of those three things. Look at using a capo and things like that. So also, I like breaking things down like I say, but we always put everything back together into actually playing songs and trying to make these songs sound as fluid, as musical, as expressive as possible. So have fun with course two.
