Ties

Ties

- A tie combines two note values of the same pitch, so you don't re-articulate the second note. You just pluck the first one. Ties are often used in the middle of a bar to divide the bar in half so you know where you are in the measure or at the end to tie the last note to the beginning of the next bar. In tablature, the second note is in parentheses because you don't re-articulate it. Let's play King on the Beach. One and two and three and four and one and two and three and four and one and two and three and four and one and two and three and four and one and two and three and four and one and two and three and four and one and two and three and four and one and two and three and four and one and two and three and four and.
