Moveable chord forms, or how I learned to be my own chord dictionary

- In this chapter, we're going to study movable chord forms. And we're going to do this by barring. So we can barre two strings, (chord plays) in this case, I'm barring the third fret of the first and second string with my index finger, my first finger. That plays a C5 chord. If we barre three strings, (chord plays) it becomes a C minor chord. If I barre four strings (chord plays) it's a C minor 7 chord. So we're going to use this barre to basically emulate this nut and as we barre further up the neck it'll change the pitch up by half steps and that will also us to play chord forms in different keys. So let's start with the A moveable chord forms. Let's start by playing an A chord. (chord plays) And an A minor chord. (chord plays) An A7. (chord plays) And finally, another voicing of an A7. (chord plays) Now we're going to barre the very first fret here which raises this nut up a half step. So, a half step from A is B flat. So now we're going to play the A shapes, or chord forms, in B…
