Movable dominant 7th chords
- Alright, so let's go through some movable dominant seventh chords. Now a dominant seventh chord has a very specific quality and the sound, I'm sure you guys have heard before, basically it's a major triad with flat in seventh on top. So, if you take that from C, that would be C, E, G as the root third and fifth. And then, you have a flat in seventh on top, which is a B flat. (guitar music) There's a lot of different ways that you can voice this in chords. You know, a chord voicing is basically the spelling of that chord; so if you have those four notes, you can certainly double up some of those. You can, instead of always just going root third, fifth flat, seven, you can go root fifth, flat seven, third, fifth, or lots of different variations like that.
