- Now let's learn a few more chords on the ukulele. We already learned G7, so now let's learn G. There are many ways to finger this chord but here's the most common. With our first finger, on the second fret of the third string, our third finger, on the second string, third fret, and our second finger on the first string, second fret. (ukulele plays) Another way you can play this chord is by switching your first and second fingers like so. (ukulele plays) Now for a D chord. D chord is the second fret of the second, third, and fourth strings. So there are many ways to finger this. The way I like to do it, is to use my first, second, and third fingers on each string.
