- Well, as you may have noticed I have two cords coming out of my bass. What in the world is up with that, you may wonder. Many people do. Basically, I'll give you a quick history of what happened. I had an old P-Bass, my first bass, Fender P-bass which has one knob, or I'm sorry, one pick up and one output. And that was my standard bass I had plugged into a Fender super bass. It was my first really bass amp that I ever had. I lent my amp to another guy that had a Gibson bass and the Gibson bass has this big, bad EBO style pick up on it. This happens to be a DiMarzio Model 1, as this is a DiMarzio P Model. Actually a Will Power model, my own design here a little bit. And I love the sound of the Gibson bass because it reminded me so much of the early like Beatles and Paul, Samuel Smith.
