Choosing a bass
- Okay, so if you decided to play bass, you're probably gonna need to have a bass. And there's a lot of great basses out there to choose from. I'll give you a couple points about what you might look for in the bass you want to play eventually. This bass right here is a Yamaha BEX. It's a bass head design with Yamaha. But there's a lot of great basses on the markets. And you should go for what feels good for you. There's a couple things you might want to look for. There's basic components of every bass. It has a bridge, that's the thing that holds the strings to the body and also is adjustable for intonation which we'll explain later. Pick ups, which are the electronic part of the bass. The body, the neck, the nobs and all. Head stock with the tuners, all these things. It seems awfully basic, some of the things I'm gonna say in this basic video but sometimes we forget about the most fundamental parts and that's where we can get into trouble later.
