What makes a great song?

- What is it that makes a great song? I think if you ask 100 people at random what it is that makes a great song, you'd likely get 100 different answers. And the reason is pretty simple. Music affects all of us in unique ways that speak to who we are as indiviudals and how we see and feel this world that we all live in. What works for one person might not work for somebody else. That's what makes the world go round. Now, I'm a music professional, not a songwriter or musician, so I can't tell you how to write a great song, but I can tell one when I hear it. And the good news is, you don't need to be a musician to know what it is that makes a great song for you either. In fact, most of the people who buy the music are just like me, they're consumers, they're not creators. They know what a great song sounds like for themselves, and thats all they really need to know.
