Creating and animating type
- [Instructor] Now that we know a little bit about different type styles and type anatomy, we're ready to actually add type into a project and animate that text. So to start, I want to look at my project. As you can see here in the Layers panel, I have a group called Title and in there there's a line graphic and a mixology text layer. Now I'm going to go ahead and click an empty area here in the bottom of the Layers panel to deselect. And I'll go down to the middle section of the interface here and I'll grab my text tool. Then I can hover where I'd like to add my type and I'll click right here and I'll type the words, the art of concoction. And when I'm done I can go ahead and press the escape key to set that text. This line and these two circles here, this is actually the anchor point and the rotation handle for that anchor point. So if I click on that and drag, you can see I can rotate this layer around.
