Join Mary Cooch for an in-depth discussion in this video Using the calendar, part of Moodle 2.5 Essential Training.
Moodle has a built-in calender, which displays…automatically some activities with deadlines, such as assignments.…It also allows you to manually to add events…that your students will see highlighted on their calender.…In this video we'll look at how to add events manually.…So if we go to our course page, we see over on the right, our calendar.…And there are four types of events.…And if we have a very full calendar, we can click on one of them to hide those.…Global events are events added by the site…administrator, that everyone in the site can see.…
As a teacher, we could add a course event just for our course participants.…Or if we have groups in the course,…we could add an event for an individual group.…Everyone, students included, can add user events.…Their personal reminders that only we as individuals can see.…To add an event to the calendar, I'm going to click the month.…It doesn't…matter if your event is in a different…month though, because we can decide that later.…And then we click the button New Event.…
