Join Mary Cooch for an in-depth discussion in this video Resetting your course at year-end, part of Moodle 2.5 Essential Training.
Many teachers like to reuse their course materials and activities from…one academic year to the next, but don't need the student data.…In this video, we'll explore how to set the course back to Default.…That is, how to delete the student data from…the course, but retain all the activities, resources, and settings.…This is known as a course reset, and to do…it we need to scroll down and in the Administration block…click the link, Reset.…We're then prompted to choose which data we…want to retain and which we want to delete.…
And so, for example, if we check the box Delete…logs, all of the course logs and reports will be deleted.…And if we've set up activity and course completion,…we can check the box to Delete the completion data.…And then for other items which we want to delete, we can expand the link.…For example, if we click to expand grade book,…we can Delete all of the grades, and then we can go through the different…course activities with data and choose if we want to retain or delete that data.…Assignments, if we click to expand it, we can Delete all assignment submissions.…
