Resetting your course at year-end

Many teachers like to reuse that course materials and activities from one academic year to the next. But don't need to student data. So in this video, we'll explore how to set the course back to default. That is how to delete the student data from our course but retain all the activities, resources and settings. This is known as a course reset and to do this we go to the Settings block and click the link Reset. And here we can decide exactly what it is we want to delete, so for example do we want to delete the logs in which case we check that books. Do we want to delete any completion data if we had activity and course completions set up. And then, scrolling down, we have other options, for example deleting all the grades. And then, in individual activities, do we want to delete assignment submissions? Choices, feedback responses, and so on. So we can be precise as to what we want to delete and what we want to keep.
