Linking to a useful website
There will doubtless be many useful websites we'd like our students to see. And in this video, we'll look at how quick it is to make a link to a site, to save our students having to search online. And so to do this, we need to have the editing turned on, which we did either by clicking the Turn Editing On button, top right, or by going to the administration block. And clicking the link in there. And then in the section where we want to add our link to a website, we click Add an Activity or Resource. This brings up Moodle's activity chooser, and if we scroll down to the results section, we have an option, URL. Clicking the Radio button once brings some information about the URL on the right. And, then we can click Add at the bottom, to get started. Or if we already know about the information, we simply click the Radio button twice. It's important to choose a good name, because that alerts the students to where they're going. But it doesn't have to be the name of the website. The…
