Exploring theme files

- [Narrator] Moodle has had themes for a very long time but in Moodle 2 themes underwent some rapid development. Which is evident in the Moodle 3 theme folder. Your theme folder may not look exactly like mine depending on what specific themes have been installed on your system. But you should see base, bootstrap base, clean and more. As the name implies, base is the most basic fundamental theme for Moodle. It contains all the core files that make up every theme. These would include a config.php file which defines the theme files and the structure of the theme. A lang folder that contains a folder for the target language for that theme as well as a php file that's called theme underscore, the name of the theme, .php. There's a layout folder that contains php files for all of the page layouts used by the theme.
