Join Mary Cooch for an in-depth discussion in this video Displaying a YouTube video, part of Moodle 2.5 Essential Training.
There are many useful educational videos to be found on YouTube, and we…can easily embed them into our course page without the need to understand coding.…But bearing in mind of course that the students…need to be in a place where YouTube is allowed.…In this video, we'll embed a YouTube movie into a Moodle page.…And to do this, we need to have the editing turned on, which we…did either by clicking the link in…the administration block or the button Top Right.…And in the section where we want to add our YouTube…video, we click the link Add an Activity or a Resource.…
YouTube videos can be embedded anywhere we see the tiny MC text editor.…So scrolling down in the Activity Chooser, we could choose Page or Label.…A label would display it directly onto our course page.…But if we're going to have several YouTube…videos, that would slow the load time down.…So we're actually going to use the Moodle page.…Because then the students would click on it, to access the video.…Clicking once, would give us some information about a page.…
