Adding events blocks
We've look in previous videos at adding course announcements to the news forum, and events to the calendar. We can highlight these important dates even more by displaying them directly on the course page. Using a couple of blocks which we'll add now. To add blocks to the size of the course page, we need to have the editing turned on, which we have done. And then we scroll down to the drop down, Add a block and click the arrow. The first block we're going to add is called the Latest News block. The blocks appear in alphabetical order. So we click this, and when the page refreshes, it automatically appears at the bottom. But to move it, we can simply click and drag it to the part of the course that we like. The latest news block displays events which have been added to the news forum and so they're directly appear on the course page. As is the course welcome event we added in an earlier video. The second block we're going to add which we go by clicking Add a Block is the upcoming events…
