Get to know Microsoft Teams, the new chat-based communication and collaboration tool in Office 365.
- [Nick] Thanks for joining me for a quick introduction to Microsoft Teams. I'm Nick Brazzi. Teams is an online collaborative communication environment where members of an organization can have real time conversations, share files, and plan meetings through video chat. While Teams will not be a full final release until sometime in the first quarter of 2017, it is available as a preview, and almost all of the features of teams are ready to use. We'll start by seeing how to enable the preview for your organization, and how users can access it on the web, on a desktop application, and a mobile app for phones and tablets.
We'll see how you can organize your coworkers into teams, and initiate conversations that all team members can contribute to. I'll show off the video chat based meetings, I'll initiate an on demand meeting, and look at how to schedule a meeting for the future, and invite people to attend. And we'll see how to share files, and even edit certain files, in collaboration with your teammates. If you're excited about Microsoft's brand new collaborative communication tool for Office 365, I think this short course will help you quickly get started using Microsoft Teams.
