- [Instructor] Microsoft Teams is a hub for communicating among co-workers. Lots of people use it for meetings, private chat messages, and group conversations among collaborators within an organization. So, it makes sense that Teams would also have a feature to create work schedules. The Shift tool in Teams is for people that Microsoft refers to as first line workers, people who work according to a schedule that is built by a manager which can and probably does change from week to week. First line workers may or may not have a dedicated work station, but they definitely need to keep an eye on a work schedule that is constantly changing. My training course on the shifts tool in Teams will show how managers can create and manage a schedule and how staff members can stay up-to-date on changes in their schedules. You may have previously used a very similar set of tools in a Microsoft product called StaffHub. The tools from StaffHub are now included in the Shifts tool for Microsoft Teams. This course is a good way for you to see how it all works.
