- [Bonnie] Hi, I'm Bonnie Biafore. In this tip, you'll see how to calculate the number of workdays between two dates in your Project schedule. Project already calculates workdays in a couple of places. For example, the Duration field shows the workdays between the start and finish date for a task. But what if you want to know the workdays between other dates, like Baseline Finish and Baseline1 Finish, or custom date fields? When you want to do that, you can calculate that, but you have to put that result in a custom field. The first thing we have to do is choose the right data type for this field. The workdays between two dates represents a duration. So let's go ahead and right-click the Duration heading, and I'm going to choose Insert Column on the shortcut menu. I'm going to use one of the Duration custom fields. So let's pick Duration1, and that inserts the field into the table. Now, I'm going to right-click the heading…
