Tips for importing names from Excel

- [Bonnie] Hi, I'm Bonnie Biafore. Today I'll show you how to correct the most common errors when importing resource names into a Project file. We're going to start with this Excel workbook, which has resource information in it. You can see in this workbook that the resources are set up as last name comma first name. Sadly, Project doesn't allow punctuation in resource name fields. So we have to get rid of the commas before we can import this information. Turns out it's pretty easy to do that. I'm going to start with a keyboard shortcut, which is Control + H. When I use that it opens up the Find and Replace dialog box. Now in the Find what box we want to look for, well, the commas, because we want to get rid of those. So I type a comma in the Find what box. The Replace with box, I want to replace it with nothing, so I don't have to put anything in that box. Once I've got that filled in I can click Replace All. When I click…
