- [Instructor] Hi, Bonnie BFR here with another project tip. Today I'll show you how to use generic resource assignments to build a staffing plan. So you can see how many resources you need by skillset. In this project, I've already assigned generic resources to the tasks in the project. So what we want to do is we want to see how much these different skill sets have been assigned at different times in the project. To do that, we're going to go to the view tab and in the resource view section, click resource usage. What that does is it shows a summary row for each resource with the tasks assigned. But all we really care about are the summary rows. And we also only care about the generic resources. The first thing I'm going to do to make it easy to filter for the generic resources is to right click in the work heading and insert a column. The column I want is generic.
