Hi, I'm Bonnie Biafore. … In this project tip I'll show you how … to assign generic resources to tasks … so you can build a staffing plan … that shows how many resources you need by skillset. … So let's start by going to the resource sheet. … on the View tab in the Resource View section … I'm going to click Resource Sheet. … If you notice the Carpenter … and the Crew have an icon in the indicators column … and that shows that they're generic resources. … If I double click that resource … to open up the Resource Information dialogue box … you'll see that the Generic checkbox is turned on, … so it's a generic resource. … Now the Max units is set to 100%, … but in this case, we don't care about the Max units … because we're trying to figure out how many we need. … So we can just ignore that. … Now we're going to assign a generic resource … to the tasks to help determine how many we need. … I'm going to go back to the Gantt Chart view. … Let's start with task two, removing fixtures and cabinets. …
