- [Bonnie] Bonnie Biafore here. In part one of this tip, we set up a custom text field to format the results of a number field. What if you want to fine-tune your format? In this tip, I'll show you how to hide the decimal point when the value is zero and also add the units to the results that you see. So here we have the custom text field that we created in the previous tip, and it shows that we've got the values with commas to separate the thousands from the hundreds, and we also have three decimal places. But we've got these weird decimal points when the value is zero. You don't have any value, just a decimal point. So we want to hide that. I'm going to start by clicking the column heading for our custom text field and then choosing Custom Fields on the shortcut menu.
