- [Bonnie] Hi, I'm Bonnie Biafore. With short, time-critical tasks, seeing duration in hours and minutes is easier to read than decimal numbers. Today, we're going to look at how to set up a custom field with a formula to display duration in whole hours. Our first challenge is that the Duration field is a built-in field, so you can't format it. But you can format a custom text field. That's what we're going to use to do our formatting of duration. I'm going to right-click the Start heading and choose Insert Column on the shortcut menu. I'm going to add Text10 as my custom text field. To work on this text field, I'm going to right-click its heading. And then on the shortcut menu, choose Custom Fields. That opens up the Custom Fields dialog box right to the field that I've just inserted. I'm going to jump down to the Rename button, click that, and I'm going to name this with the format that I'm going to eventually create,…
