Add a rating question

- [Instructor] One great way to ask someone's opinion on a product or service is to have them rate it on a scale such as one to five, or one to nine. In this movie, I will show you how to add a rating question to a survey in Microsoft Forms. I have opened the survey that I created earlier, and I want to create a new rating question. So I'll scroll down until I'm below the questions that I already have, and I'll click add new. Then from the list of question types available, I'll click rating. A blank rating question appears and you can see that I can type in text for a question, I can add media, that could be an image or a video, and I can also choose my levels and the symbol. The default is five levels, and a star symbol, but you can go anywhere from two levels, all the way up to nine. So let's say that I want to stay with five levels, but I want to change the symbol from a star to a number. So I'll click the symbol list box controls down arrow, click number, and you see that I now have radio buttons for options one through five, or rather one through five. Now I can type in my question, so I'll go up to the question box, make sure that the text is selected, and type, on a scale of one to five, how satisfied are you with your Red30 robot? All right, I don't want to require this question, so I'll leave that option unselected. I can also click the more settings button, and here I can add a subtitle, and the subtitle would be an extra text box where I can add information or clarification about the question. In this case I don't want to use one, so I'll click the button again and clear subtitle. There's one other option that I can set, and that is label. So I'll go ahead and click label, and I see here that I can enter a label for item one and item five, basically the first and last items on the scale. So if I wanted, I could say enter a label, and have unsatisfied, and then for number five, have highly satisfied. And click away. In this case, I'll just stay with a numerical one to five scale, so I will go back down to the more settings button, click it, and clear label, and I'm back to my original settings.
