- Now let's start taking a look at some of the tools of the trade when we actually start deploying and upgrading and installing our environment. And one of the first tools we're going to take a look at is the Microsoft Assessment and Planning Toolkit, or MAP for short. And MAP in a nutshell really, its name really describes what it does. When you think about installing or upgrading something inside of your business or your enterprise, you want to know what's there. And you want to know what computers have what files. Do they have enough memory? Do they have enough hard drive space? You really want to know that information. And what MAP does, it actually helps us collect that information. And the nice thing about MAP is that it's an agentless tool, so there's nothing required to install on the client computers. you want to investigate.
