- [Instructor] Understanding Auditing in Microsoft 365. The Office 365 Security & Compliance Center, the Microsoft 365 Security Center, and the Microsoft 365 Compliance Center are the one-stop portals for protecting data in the organization, and they include many auditing and reporting features. These centers help you with your data protection or compliance needs and can audit user and administrator activity. You can access these centers using the administrative roles that you can be assigned. In order to utilize the audit log, there are some core prerequisites. The first one is to enable audit logging. The minimum permission that's needed for this to be able to search the audit log is View-Only Audit Logs, Audit Logs role in Exchange Online.
