- [Instructor] If you need to take quick notes, that you can reference at any time from a OneNote notebook, or even have pinned to your desktop, Quick Notes might be the thing for you. You don't even have to have the OneNote application open in order to start taking a quick note. So if I didn't have OneNote open right now, I can simply use the keyboard shortcut Windows + N, and it's going to launch a Quick Note page for me. Let's try it out. Okay, here is the Quick Note. It may not look like we're in OneNote, but that really is where we are. Let's go ahead and type a couple of things in here that we want to make sure we don't forget. All right, let's type one more in. Okay. Now, if I select the three ellipses here at the top, it does give me the full ribbon menu of the OneNote desktop application.
