Preparing to run a Readiness Report

- [Instructor] Microsoft provides a free Readiness reporting tool that you can use to check your existing Office documents to make sure that they're going to be compatible with the version of Office that you're installing. This is especially important if those documents contain things like macros or VPA code. So before you run a Readiness report, there's a few things that you need to know about the tool. First of all, you're not going to be able to use the Readiness reporting tool to scan password-protected files. Also, as a general rule, the tool isn't going to be able to scan files that are located in a SharePoint document library, in OneDrive, or in cloud storage. Now in some cases, there are workarounds. For example, if you're able to map a network drive to cloud storage, then you might be able to use the tool to scan files residing in that location.
