Planning for an AIP client deployment
- [Instructor] There are two types of clients that are available. There's the protection client and the protection viewer. There are also two core versions, which is the classic client and then the unified labeling client. And then there are also the mobile apps that are available for iOS and for Android. So what's the difference between the two different types of AIP clients? Well, firstly, we have the classic client. This is the AIP client that's been available since AIP was first announced. The client downloads the labels and the policy settings from Azure and then you can then configure the AIP policies within the Azure portal and the two are synchronized together. The new client or the unified client is a more recent addition. It now supports the unified labeling store that multiple applications and services now support.
