- [Instructor] As you prepare to deploy Microsoft Office, you need to consider where your source files are going to reside and what tools you're going to use for the deployment. There are four main options for deploying Microsoft Office. The first option is to install Office using a local source, that is, Office installation files that are located on premises, and use System Center Configuration Manager as your deployment tool. The second option is to use the Office Deployment Tool to deploy Office from source files that are located on the cloud. The third option is to use the Office Deployment Tool, but rather than installing from a cloud-based source, deploy from a local source instead. And then the fourth option is to allow users to perform a self-installation from the cloud. Now, certainly these aren't the only options.
