- [Instructor] When you install the Office deployment tool, Microsoft gives you a setup dot EXE file, which you can see right here, and you can use that setup file to install Office. All you would typically need to do is run setup dot EXE and then reference an XML file that tells Office how to install. So I've got a number of XML files. Most of these are example files, but I've got this file up here called basic dot XML. This is a really basic XML file that I created and it performs a very simple Office installation. Let's take a look. I'm going to open this in Notepad and you can see that this XML file tells the Office deployment tool to install the 64-bit version of Microsoft Office. You can see 64 right here. And we're installing Office 365 Pro Plus Retail using the monthly channel. So let's go ahead and close this out and we'll install Microsoft Office.
