Enable usage analytics

- [Instructor] Let's take a look at how to enable usage reporting in Office 365. As you can see, right now I'm signed in to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center. So what I'm going to do is I'm going to go to reports, and then I'm going to click on usage. Now the item that we need to look at is a little bit hard to see on this screen, so I'm going to go ahead and minimize this menu to make this bigger. From there, I'm going to scroll down to the bottom and you can see that we have a section marked Microsoft 365 usage analytics. I'm going to go ahead and click get started. So what we need to do now is to turn this on and click save. And when I do that, I get a message saying that we've updated your report settings successfully. I'll go ahead and close that out. And you'll notice that right now, this is grayed out. And the reason for that is that it actually takes a really long time to set up Microsoft 365 usage analytics. According to some of the articles out on the internet, this process can take anywhere from two hours to complete to 48 hours to complete, depending on how many users you've got set up. Once the setup process eventually completes, you'll see a message similar to this one right here, indicating that your data is now available.
