Create notes from Outlook emails
- [Instructor] Oftentimes, I find myself writing notes about a specific email. If you're like me, you don't need to copy the email content to the device clipboard and then go paste it somewhere else, like in a page of this project section of a notebook. Here's how to automate the process with the desktop apps for Outlook and OneNote. Let's go ahead and go to Outlook. Here we are. And find the email that we would like to copy the content for into that notebook. This happens to be the email that we need. Over here, we can see the email in the preview pane. With this email in view and selected in the list here, if I go to the home ribbon and locate the move group, from that group, I'm going to select the OneNote command. If instead I have this email open full screen, let's go ahead and do that. Notice on the message ribbon in that same move group, we have the same OneNote command available. This is send to OneNote.…
