- [Instructor] Whenever I'm taking notes, whether it's for a meeting or something else, if it's something that is actionable that I need to do or someone else needs to do, I want to make sure that it doesn't fall through the cracks. There's a couple of things that you can do here to help you with that. If you simply want to have something marked as something that needs to be done, you can use the To Do Tag for that. You can also track those actionable items as Outlook Tasks. So let's start first with the To Do Tag. Here I have a couple of action items listed in the Notes area. If I select the text for one of those action items, I can mark it with the To Do Tag from the mini toolbar that pops up here by selecting Tag As To Do. That puts a checkbox over here to the left.
