- [Instructor] So let's go ahead and install the Office Deployment Tool and we'll also create a sample configuration file. So you can see the Office Deployment Tool executable right here. This is something that I downloaded from Microsoft. I'm going to double click on it, and when I do I'm prompted to accept the terms of the license agreement. I'll check this box and click Continue. And now I'm asked where I want to install the tool to. I'll just go ahead and use the current folder. So I'll expand out this PC, the C drive, and Office Deployment Tool, and click OK. And we can see that the files were extracted. And so the tool is installed. Now what we have is a setup.exe file. This is used for installing Microsoft Office. And then we have some XML files. Typically what you would do is you would run setup and you would specify that you want to associate an XML file. And then the XML file drives the installation process because it provides all of the necessary configuration information…
