Create a User Alias

- [Instructor] Once you've added a custom domain name to Microsoft Office 365, one of the things that you can do is begin setting up aliases for your users that point to that new domain name. So let's go ahead and take a look at how to do that. Right now I'm logged into the Office 365 admin center and what I'm going to do is click on Users and then Active Users and when I do that I get a list of the user accounts that are currently set up. So I'm just going to pick a user at random, I'll pick this one, and when I click on that checkbox I get this popup that shows various attributes of that user. And if you look at this top section right here we can see the user's current username and email address. It's currently set to chris@poseydemo.onmicrosoft.com. Now poseydemo.onmicrosoft.com is the default domain name that was used when I set up this Office 365 account. Now you'll notice beneath that Aliases is set to None. So let's change that.
