- [Instructor] If you're planning on using System Center Configuration Manager to update your office clients, there are few requirements that must be met, and these are in addition to basic requirements such as internet connectivity for the System Center Configuration Manager Server. So let's take a look at the requirements. First of all, System Center Configuration Manager is going to have to be running update 1602 or later. You're also going to have to have a compatible Office 365 client. Typically, this is Office 365 ProPlus, but it could be other things as well, such as Visio or Project. Office also has to be configured to use a supported update channel. Also, you're going to need Windows Server Update Services or WSUS 4.0 or higher. And incidentally you can't use WSUS by itself. WSUS has to be working in conjunction with System Center Configuration Manager in order to deliver updates to Office clients.
