- [Instructor] As you prepare to deploy Microsoft Office, one of the decisions that you'll have to make is which update channel you'll want to use. Microsoft offers three main update channels. The first one is called monthly, and as the name implies this channel delivers updates to your users on a monthly basis. So this update channel is great in that it allows your users to have really fast access to all of the latest features. The downside to using the monthly channel is that it means a bit more administrative work because you're deploying updates more often. The second option is to use the semi-annual channel and the semi-annual channel delivers updates to users twice a year. And then the third option is the semi-annual targeted channel.
