Additional deployment considerations

- [Instructor] As you prepare to deploy Microsoft Office it's a good idea to take a step back and review your deployment plan. There are a few key questions that you should ask yourself in preparation for deployment. For example, which deployment tool are you going to be using, and is that tool up-to-date, and has it been proven to be compatible with the version of Microsoft Office that you're going to be deploying? Also how are you going to manage updates for Office once Office is installed? And which update channel are you going to be using? Some other key questions include are you going to need to use deployment groups? Deployment groups come in handy when you have clients with differing needs for example if you're going to be deploying Office to some clients who are running PCs and other clients who are running Macs you're probably going to want to split those machines into two separate deployment groups. Also what's your plan for shared computers? If you have multiple users who are sharing a single computer, what's your plan for deploying Office to that computer? And finally, where are the source files that you're going to be installing Office from? Are those files located in the cloud or are you using an on premises deployment share? So this list is by no means all inclusive but these are some of the more important questions that you need to be thinking about as you plan your Office deployment.
